Running: I started running in high school because I went through a transition where I had gained a wee little bit of weight.. I wouldn't consider my self an actual runner at that point because I would run on the track after school barefoot on the grass. I was a minimalist before it was cool! I lost the weight that I had gained and kind of stopped running. Then I went off to college and waited for my sophomore year to gain the freshman 15 and so I started hitting the gym like a crazy person.. it was free... then the hubs and I got married and headed north... and ate pizza and hot dogs and then I had a few friends that talked about running that little thing called the NYC half marathon... and I thought to myself that if they could run a half marathon then I could too... Since then I have run four half marathons, a disaster of a marathon, a 10 miler, and a 10k... I've gotten a lot slower and a lot faster.. I've loved running and then I've kind of hated running at times...
my faith: I am a believer in Jesus Christ and am so glad to be saved on this side of the cross. I long to be a disciple for Him.. I'm still learning what that means exactly but I would be glad to share with you what I know and what He's taught me along the way and what I am still learning on a daily basis!!

Oh yeah and I'm going to Uganda in the fall on a medical mission trip with Children of the Nations! I hope to keep you all more updated soon!
